Over the past few years, since I became an unwanted member of your family, and since we are about the same age, you have been more of a sister to me than a mother in law. I did have a sister that passed several years ago, I am glad you are here to take her place! You have been a Godsend to me over the years and I know that sometime, in the past, you must have found the fountain of youth. You are still very young looking and acting! I am remembering you this day for all that you have done for me and my family.
Taking care of me while recovering from a surgery comes to mind.
Helping run the girls to their activities. Taking them to school and picking them up (not a perfect record there though) Making them Easter dresses. Remembering them on every occasion.
I can't even list all you have done for Kim... Teaching her all that you did when she was young, from cooking, sewing and a little bit of gardening. I think the greatest thing you gave her is her kind heart.
So many people have been helped by you; parents, brothers, sisters, husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, grand dogs and now great-grand dogs.
You have been called many names like sister, wife, mom and Grandma. My favorite name for you is Mother-In-Law. I am so lucky to be able to call you that!
I am looking forward to the next visit for the world's best meatloaf and some famous Frogmore Stew.
